Roman Wittig received his nomination as Directeur de Recherche 1er class from the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifiques last month to join the Institut des Sciences Cognitives (ISC) in Bron, a mixed research unit (UMR 5229) together with the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. Roman will be leading there, together with Dr. Catherine Crockford, the Ape Social Mind Lab (www.isc.cnrs.fr).
The Tai Chimpanzee Project has therefore officially arrived in France, from where Roman and Cathy will continue their research on the evolution of human mind and behaviour.
He will continue his connection to the MPI for Evolutionary Anthropology under his mandate as PI for the Evolution of Brain Connectivity Project (EBC).
